Race Cars Coming to Town on August 12

Body
It’s that time of year again. The season when the sound of racing engines and the smell of rubber burning out on concrete fills the Seven Valleys air for a weekend. Yep…Sandhills Open Road Challenge time is almost here!
The public will have a chance to get an up-close view of the cars and meet the drivers participating in the 2022 Sandhills Open Road Challenge on Thursday, Aug. 12. The cars will be parked in downtown Callaway as the Callaway Chamber will provide lunch to the participants at the Community Center. File photo by Ellen Mortensen
