Recapping Successful South Loup Volleyball Season

The Lady Bobcats had a highly successful volleyball season in 2022, ending with a record of 21-8. Six of their eight losses came from the hands of teams that went on to qualify for the state tournament in Lincoln. Even though their season was cut short at sub-districts, the celebrations of the season are numerous and impressive.

The fall sports seasons may be over for 2022, but the accolades keep rolling in for the South Loup Bobcats. Volleyball The Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference (MNAC) released its All-Conference awards for the volleyball season.

Preparing The Next Generation of Volleyballers

The South Loup Bobcat junior high volleyball team opened up their season with Anselmo-Merna in Callaway on Sept. 12, with the following results: A Team: 25-23, 16-25, 19-17. B Team: 23-25, 14-25. The following Monday they traveled to Ansley-Litchfield, ending with the following scores: A Team: 10-25, 7-25. B Team: 15-25, 25-12, 13-15. On Sept. 26, Twin Loup traveled to Callaway to take on the Bobcats.

South Loup Junior Cats

For the past six weeks there have been 35 girls in grades 3rd through 6th from Arnold and Callaway who have been practicing and learning the fundamentals of volleyball. They’ve also been playing games every Sunday in the Cozad Youth Volleyball League in Cozad for the month of October.

That’s a Wrap: South Loup Football 2022

The South Loup Bobcat football team has much to celebrate as the 2022 season wraps up. A 6-4 record and two rounds of playoff football under their belts, the Bobcats showed great talent, grit, tenacity, and heart this season.

Loss, Yes, But Bobcats Still Scored Some Wins

The South Loup football team may have suffered a season-ending loss by a score of 12-40 on Friday to Howells-Dodge, the top ranked team in D2 football in the state; but they did it in true Bobcat fashion - with strong defense, top-notch running, and that unbreakable spirit fans have helped foster this season.
