The Lady Bobcats basketball team (12-6) split a pair of games on the road last week, beating the Mullen Broncos 41-29 on Friday, but losing to Southern Valley 33-49 on Saturday.

On Friday, the Broncos couldn’t keep up with the Lady Bobcats as they kept sinking the buckets - the score at the end of the first quarter was 12-7. During the second quarter, the Lady Broncos attempted to make up some of the deficit, but heading into halftime, the score was still in favor of the Lady Bobcats 18-15. All the break in action seemed to do was motivate South Loup to keep dropping the buckets, widening their lead to 29-20. By the fourth quarter, the Lady Bobcats were running away with the game, adding 12 more to their totals.

Individual stats were not available by press time. On Saturday, the Lady Bobcats traveled to the thirdranked Southern Valley Eagles in Bartley. Down a senior starter to an ankle injury, the Lady Bobcats were unable to keep up with a very physical Lady Eagles team. The Lady Bobcats ended their winning streak with a 33-49 loss.

The box score and individual stats were not available by press time. The Lady Bobcats hosted the Lady Coyotes of Anselmo Merna on Tuesday. The scores were not available by press time.

On Friday, they will travel to Eustis to take on Hi-Line with JV starting at 4 p.m.
