After a season of battling every element possible, the Bobcats were granted a brilliant day on April 28 to host the MNAC Golf Championships at the Arnold Golf Course. “We had a perfect day of weather,” head coach Jarod Rush said.

South Loup’s golf team got a bit of a reprieve on April 21 when the winds died down, giving them an opportunity to play without battling the elements. The team, collectively, took third place out of the nine teams competing.

The South Loup Bobcat Boys track & field team brought home their first trophy of the season with the runner-up trophy at the April 19 Overton Invitational. The Bobcats really excelled in the field events, and of the field events, Coach Weverka's throwers excelled to another level.

The Lady Bobcats scored their highest team score of the year, winning the April 19 Overton Invitational. South Loup’s girls track team scored 149 points, easily outdistancing the rest of the field. The day began with field events, where the Lady Bobcats got to work right away.

It isn't often that a track team competes and wins two meets in one week, but the Lady Bobcats did just that, keeping their winning record perfect as they won the 12-team Burwell Invitational on April 14.

Four Bobcat boys earned gold medals at the Burwell Invitational on April 14 with the team finishing fourth out of 12 teams competing. Silas Cool vaulted his way to gold in the pole vault, tying his personal best with a leap of 11 feet, 6 inches.
