Lady Bobcats Continue Winning Ways at Overton

The Lady Bobcats scored their highest team score of the year, winning the April 19 Overton Invitational. South Loup’s girls track team scored 149 points, easily outdistancing the rest of the field. The day began with field events, where the Lady Bobcats got to work right away.

Smith Takes Gold at South Loup Invitational

After a week of strong wind causing the meet to be rescheduled, the South Loup boys’ golf team hosted the South Loup Invitational on April 11 at Arnold Country Club. Coach Jarod Rush said the day wound up being pretty nice in the morning with not too much wind, making for favorable playing conditions.

Bobcat Girls Win South Loup Invite, Boys Place Fourth

It was a banner day on April 11 for the Lady Bobcats at the South Loup Invitational as they dominated events across the board to win the team title. Halie Recoy, Reagan Cool and the 4x400 team of Abby Stallbaumer, Mya Weverk Taylor Ross, Bryn Schwarz earned gold medals of the day.

Bobcat Boys Third at Elwood Invitational

The South Loup boys' track team took third place in the 13-team Elwood Invitational April 1, scoring 54 points and coach Laney Chesley was thrilled with the performance of his team.lt was just one of those meets where every athlete seemed to give an outstanding effort, not only bringing home a handful of medals but also attaining 16 new personal-records. Coach Chesley was perhaps the most encouraged by the effort given by the two relays that placed.
