Bobcats Down Coyotes To Remain Unbeaten

Body
On Friday the 13th, the Anselmo-Merna Coyotes traveled to the nearby South Loup Bobcats to play in the final game of the regular season for both teams. With both teams already locking in a spot in the playoffs, it was shaping up to be a great final game before the postseason. The captains met just before the game for the coin flip, which resulted in the Bobcats kicking off to the Coyotes to start the game.

Bobcats Looking To End The Season Undefeated

Body
The wind may have been chilly, but the Bobcat football team was hot on the field Friday afternoon against Mullen in Arnold. The Broncos, a team known for having a strong passing offense, were supposed to be a decent opponent for the Bobcats, who are now 7-0 on the season. The wind was a major factor in the Bronco's inability to throw effectively, but the Bobcat defense was also as much of an obstacle to their success.

Bobcat Runners Compete In Big Meet As Season Winds Down

Body
The Bobcat cross country team ran the hills of the Kearney Country Club last Monday at the annual UNK Invitational Meet. This was an incredibly full meet with all four classes represented, and nearly 200 girls and 300 boys who competed in Class D. This is also the course used for the state championship meet, so many teams enter wanting a chance to run the course prior to the end of the season.

South Loup Pounds Leyton In Long Road Game

Body
Given the amount of energy and spirit the Bobcat football team (5-0) displayed on Friday during their afternoon game in Dalton, it was hard to believe they had just spent more than three hours on the bus to travel to the game. In fact, the Bobcat win over the Leyton Warriors, 56-6, took less time to play than it did to drive to the game.
