The South Loup Bobcat cross country team was off to a strong start to the season with a hot race day in Burwell last Thursday. The start time, originally slated for 4 p.m., was moved up to 9 a.m.

The South Loup Bobcats football team took very little time on Thursday to show their fans just how they are going to play this season - score first, score fast, and score often - and mop the field with their opponents.

The Callaway Community Foundation Fund is hosting a co-ed mushball tournament on Saturday, July 15. The event is a fundraiser for the swimming pool project.

The South Loup Bobcats were represented by three girls and two boys at the second annual MNAC vs MAC girls and boys all-star basketball games on June 17 in Sutherland. The all-star games include recent graduates from the Mid Nebraska Activities Conference and the Minuteman Activities Conference.

The Nebraska State Track & Field Championships in Omaha on May 19-20, marked the end of their high school career for eight Bobcat athletes. Here is a look back at what those seniors accomplished in the 2023 season.

Everyone is invited this Sunday, June 4 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. to the 7 Valley Kids Daycare fundraiser, which will be held at the Callaway Community Center. Please join them for a delicious free-will BBQ meal to help out Callaway’s newest daycare. The daycare will be opening this fall in the Callaway United Methodist Church parsonage. Whether you walk, jog, run, or waddle, the South Loup Lady Bobcats volleyball team invites you to participate in their annual fun run on Saturday, June 24, at Morgan Park in Callaway. This non-timed, family friendly event returns this year with a colorful twist - the Splatter Sprint introduces a bright and colorful, non-toxic and washable paint powder to toss around at the finish line and various points throughout the route. This is similar to the color run in 2019. Participants are encouraged to wear a white shirt or slip on their event t-shirt for the colors to show up more vibrantly.
