Body The South Loup Lady Bobcats were on the road to Brady on Tuesday, Jan. 23, to face the Lady Eagles in the first round of the MNAC (Mid Nebraska Activities Conference) tournament. It was the first meeting of the season for the two teams.

Body On Jan. 16, the South Loup Bobcats traveled to Arcadia to play the Arcadia-Loup City Rebels. The game had a fast start for the Rebels as they hit five 3-point shots in the first quarter. The strong shooting would put the Rebels ahead of the Bobcats at the end of the first.

Body The South Loup wrestling team hosted two meets last week, a dual with Overton on Tuesday, Jan. 16, and their home invitational on Friday.

Body South Loup's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday, Jan. 16, after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-29 loss at the hands of Arcadia/Loup City.

Body On Tuesday, Jan. 2, the South Loup Bobcats hosted the Hershey Panthers in Callaway. The Bobcats were coming into the game 6-1, and the Panthers were coming into the game 4-5, but playing a very tough schedule.

Body After more than a two-week break, the South Loup wrestlers were back on the mats for a triangular with Sandhills-Thedford and Anselmo-Merna on Jan. 2. The Bobcats came out on top in team points over both of those teams.

Body The Lady Bobcats took a hard 43-29 fall against Hershey on Tuesday, Jan. 2, in their first game since Dec. 19. South Loup lost against Hershey in their previous head-tohead back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 56-32 score last time.

Body The South Loup wrestling team is getting a long break in their season over the holidays. They wrapped up their matches for 2023 on Dec. 15, as the team participated in the Southern Valley Duals. The team will not be back on the mat until Jan.

Body On Dec. 18 and 19, the South Loup Bobcats traveled to Maxwell where they would compete in the annual holiday tournament. The tournament consisted of South Loup, Sandhills Valley, Bady, and the Bobcat's first-round matchup with the Maxwell Wildcats.
