On Dec. 18 and 19, the South Loup Bobcats traveled to Maxwell where they would compete in the annual holiday tournament. The tournament consisted of South Loup, Sandhills Valley, Bady, and the Bobcat's first-round matchup with the Maxwell Wildcats.

The Bobcats opened up the holiday tournament with a good half of basketball.

They would go into the halftime break up by 14 points on the Maxwell Wildcats. T Though struggling to rebound, the Bobcat’s great defense and consistent outside shooting created a larger lead in the second half. To no surprise the Bobcats would extend the lead and finish off the game with a score of 66-37.

The next day the Bobcats would meet the Sandhills Valley Mavericks in the championship game. The Bobcats would start off the game with a 10-2 run. Some deep shots from the Mavericks kept the game right around that 8-10 point differential. At the end of the half, the Bobcats would go on a scoring run, while maintaining great defense. They would go into halftime up 17.

The second half would be all Bobcats. South Loup's defending and scoring would keep the ball rolling. They would win the game by a convincing score of 64-25. The Holiday first-place trophy will stay at South Loup yet another year.
