17 Hours Of Walking To Say Thank You Firefighters

Body
The Callaway community came together to show support for the volunteer fire department on April 27. Different individuals joined in the walk throughout the 17 hours of the event. “We figure we walked 1,000 miles - which would get us to Las Vegas, Cleveland, San Antonio, or Calgary,” said Stephanie Ross, one of the organizers of the event. On the day $11,633 was raised, but Ross said funds continue to come in. “As of now we are over $12,000.” Anyone still wishing to donate can make checks payable to CVFD (Callaway Volunteer Fire Department) or donations may be left at Great Western Bank.
