Field Day Friday

Body
The Callaway elementary students had their track and field day on Friday, May 13 and the weather could not have been more perfect. They tested their horizontal leaping skills in the long jump, practiced coordination in the fireman’s run and the sack race and demonstrated teamwork in the running relays. One of the highlights of the day was watching a group of 4th grade boys wait at the start line to give a classmate a head start, then intentionally stay right behind her encouraging her all the way to the finish line. That act alone exemplifies the character of Callaway Public Schools. Yesterday, May 18, was the final day of school for Callaway students who are now free to enjoy summer break.
