Ross Shares Girls State Experience With Auxiliary
Auxiliary Unit #59 was honored to have Taylor Ross attend our meeting on Aug. 15, 2022, and to hear her speak of her experiences of attending Girls State as a representative from our local Unit. She informed the group of many positive interactions throughout the week not only learning more about Government and how it works but enjoying newly found friendships from across the state.
Taylor ran for and was elected 'County Sheriff' and gave highlights of her campaign process. Taylor expressed gratitude for our sponsorship and highly encourages other girls to apply for this experience. Taylor is the daughter of Rod and Mary Ross and is currently a senior at Callaway Public School.
Unit #59 is preparing for the upcoming County Con- vention to be held in Callaway on Sept. 11. They will be co-hosts along with Legion Post #59. Our Unit strives to promote new membership, if you are interested and think you are eligible, please contact our President Deondra Lashley or our Membership Chairman Mary Ann Boldt.
Taylor Ross shared about her experience at Cornhusker Girls State at the Callaway Auxiliary meeting on Aug. 15.
