DANIELLE DUPONCHEEL, STUDENT CORRESPONDENT On Thursday, Sept. 19, the South Loup football team faced off against Sandhills Valley and secured a decisive victory with a final score of 65-42.

On Thursday, Sept. 12, Arnold was the host site of a game between the South Loup Bobcats and the 2023 State Runners-Up Gothenburg Swedes. Though they put up a good fight in the third, the Lady Bobcats fell to the Swedes in straight sets.

On Thursday, Sept. 19, the South Loup cross country team traveled to Ravenna to compete.

If everything goes according to plan this season, Nebraska will make three trips to the Bluegrass State. The Huskers started the season against Kentucky in Louisville on Aug.

On Friday, Sept. 13, the South Loup football team faced a challenge as they hosted Perkins County and fell to their opponents by a final score of 40 -12. Despite the loss, there were notable individual performances that shone through.

The South Loup Lady Bobcats volleyball team traveled to Eustis on Sept. 6 to play the Hi-Line Bulls.

The South Loup cross country team competed at the Broken Bow Invite on Saturday, Sept. 14, against some of the best runners in the state in Class C. When all the points were totaled, the Bobcats finished in fifth place overall in the men’s division, with defending state champions Gothenburg winning the meet.

The South Loup cross country team traveled to Cozad on Saturday, Sept. 7, for an invitational.

The South Loup Bobcats picked up their second win of the season with a strong performance against the Hi-Line Bulls on Friday, Sept. 6. The game had its rough moments, but the Bobcats showed they can stay in control and stand their ground.
