Lady Cats Come Back Strong in Day Two

On Thurs, Oct. 19, the Lady Bobcats continued MNAC play with their first game at 10 a.m. playing the Arthur County Wolves in Broken Bow. The Bobcats started strong, just strong enough to take the first set as a win. In the second set, everyone was tuckered out, leaving them unable to give forth all their effort, and the Wolves took the win.
Men’s Team, Both Ladies, Qualify For State Cross Country

On Oct. 17, seven South Loup Bobcats earned a trip to Kearney to run at the NSAA state Cross Country meet this Friday. To do this, runners had to either place in the top 15 as an individual or in the top three teams. At the District meet in Cambridge four of the Bobcats earned medals and individual qualification for State. They are senior Ivy Tullis (22:34.73) 4th, senior Ella Cool (22:42.48) 5th, freshman Jaden Baker (18:50.05) 4th, and Josiah Coleman (19:10.36) 9th.

The sun dropped at last behind the west stands, and a splendid late-summer evening settled over the football field where Millard North played Millard West in the season opener. The game proved up for grabs until the final play, a Millard North goal-line stand for the win.
