Body On Thursday, Oct. 24, the South Loup Bobcats scored a 22-14 victory in a firstround playoff matchup against the Perkins County Plainsmen in the NSAA State Football Championships (Class D1) tournament.

Body On Friday, Oct. 25, seven South Loup cross country runners competed at the Nebraska State Cross Country meet in Kearney against a total of 243 other competitors. The state meet has a lot of very tough competition and only places the top 15 from a field of more than 100 runners.

Body The Ainsworth Bulldogs hosted the South Loup Bobcats on Oct. 22 for a 5-set game.

Body On Friday, Oct. 18, the South Loup Bobcats delivered a commanding performance, defeating the Arcadia Rebels with an outstanding score of 56-0 in their final regular season game at Callaway.

Body The Brady Eagles hosted the South Loup Bobcats, Sandhills-Thedford Knights, and Arthur County Wolves for the first round of the MNAC tournament on Thursday, Oct. 17.

Body On Thurs, Oct. 19, the Lady Bobcats continued MNAC play with their first game at 10 a.m. playing the Arthur County Wolves in Broken Bow. The Bobcats started strong, just strong enough to take the first set as a win.

Body On Oct. 17, seven South Loup Bobcats earned a trip to Kearney to run at the NSAA state Cross Country meet this Friday. To do this, runners had to either place in the top 15 as an individual or in the top three teams.

Body The sun dropped at last behind the west stands, and a splendid late-summer evening settled over the football field where Millard North played Millard West in the season opener. The game proved up for grabs until the final play, a Millard North goal-line stand for the win.

Body On Friday, Oct. 11, the South Loup Bobcats pulled off an exciting 34-28 win against the Ravenna Bluejays. It was a difficult conference game that kept supporters of both teams invested until the very end.
