Body The South Loup boys brought home the bronze from the Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference (MNAC) basketball tournament this past weekend. The tournament started with a Bobcat win against the Arthur County Wolves in Arnold on Tuesday, Jan.

Body The Lady Bobcats began their busy week of conference basketball on Monday, Jan. 27, when they traveled to Mullen to meet the number two seed Lady Broncos in the first round.

Body The South Loup Bobcats put on an impressive performance at the Central Valley Tournament, with three wrestlers battling tough competition and making strong runs in their weight classes.

Body The Bobcat boys' basketball team claimed victory over Arcadia-Loup City in an intense game led by junior Conner Paulsen on Jan. 21.

Body The Bobcats dominated the Ansley-Litchfield Spartans in a head-to-head boys' basketball game on Thursday, Jan. 23. The Bobcats hosted the Spartans for their last game before the conference tournament.

Body The South Loup Bobcats hosted their own wrestling meet on Friday, Jan. 24, at Callaway.

Body The Lady Bobcats took on the Arcadia Loup-City Rebels on Tuesday, Jan. 21 in Callaway. Although the Lady Rebels came out with the win in the end, by a score of 36-17, the Lady Bobcats have shown tremendous growth over their season so far.

Body South Loup hosted Maxwell in Arnold on Jan. 17 in a battle of the cats, with the Bobcats easily handling the Wildcats.

Body So far this season the 6-man South Loup boys’ wrestling team has accumulated 20 medals, won seven duals, and after last week can call themselves conference champions. The Bobcats competed in the SEM Invite on Friday, Jan.

Body The Lady Bobcats basketball team came out fighting strong against the Maxwell Wildcats on Jan. 17. The girls had a very strong first half, scoring 15 points in the first quarter down by only three against a strong team with a 6-8 record.
