Bobcat Golfers Pick Up More Hardware
The South Loup boys’ golf team made the trip to Thedford on Monday, April 28, to compete in the Sandhills/Thedford tournament. Mullen had the low team score of the day of 355, to win the meet. The individual low score of the day was a 76, shot by Brady Haake of Sandhills/Thedford.
South Loup’s Harper Johnson finished sixth in the individual standings. Johnson shot a 42 in the first nine holes, and a 45 in the back nine to finish with 87 strokes. Crew Witthuhn shot 48 and 51 for a 99 stroke total, while Bo Brennan carded 53 and 54 for a 107 on the day.
The team will be back on the course at Overton on Friday, May 2, with play set to begin at 9 a.m. Their next meet will be back at Thedford on Wednesday, May 7, with a 2 p.m. start time.
