South Loup has gone 9-1 against Brady recently and the Bobcats looked to pad the win column further on Friday, Dec. 27. The two teams rounded out the year against one another at the holiday tournament in Maxwell.

The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment. South Loup came into the tournament with three straight wins, while Brady came in off of 10 straight defeats. However, none of that matters once you're on the court.

South Loup headed into the game fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. The Bobcats were on a roll and it carried throughout the contest against Brady.

The Eagle’s defense could seem to do nothing to stop the Bobcats, who came out firing from the opening buzzer and put up 26 points in the first quarter while Brady managed to score only 8 points.

South Loup took a bit of a breather in the second period after the high scoring first, and Brady actually put more points on the board than the Bobcats in period two – 9-7. The Bobcats picked back up in the second half to score 17 in the third and 18 in the fourth, to take the win by a final score of 68-33. No individual stats were available at press time.

The Bobcats were back in action at the tournament on Saturday. We will have full details of that game in the Jan. 9 issue.
