Tuesday, Dec. 6, was a big day for the community of Callaway as ground was broken for a special new home. Funded by the Nebraska Affordable Housing Trust Fund, it is hoped this home will enable a new family to move to Callaway.
The Callaway Legion Auxiliary Unit will hold the 2nd annual 'Wreaths For Veterans' event on Sunday, Dec 4 at 2 p.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery. Wreaths will be laid on Veteran graves following a short service explaining the event. Everyone is welcome to attend and to help lay Wreaths if interested.

On Friday we embarked on our first trip to Colorado in three years and encountered a substance we haven’t seen much of for over a year – snow. We were headed to Denver to celebrate the 100th birthday of Don’s Aunt Vaunia Miyoshi. While Friday was her actual birthday, the whole weekend was going to be devoted to celebrating with family and friends and we didn’t want to miss a minute of the festivities.
