Callaway's Citizen of the Year

Each year the Callaway Chamber of Commerce presents a Citizen of the Year award to an individual or organization who has been nominated by members of the community. This year’s award was presented on Sunday, March 30, but was done a little differently than in past years.

Clayton and Meghan G’Schwind of Callaway announce the birth of a son on March 20, 2025, at Gothenburg Health. William Douglas G’Schwind was born at 9:47 weighing 6 pounds 8 ounces and measuring 19.75 inches in length. William is welcomed home by a brother, Wade Henry G’Schwind.

Tate William Childs

Trisha Hewitt and Duane Childs of Cozad announce the birth of a son on March 18, 2025, at Gothenburg Health. Tate William Childs was born at 11:51 a.m. weighing 7 pounds 8.5 ounces. Tate is welcomed home by brothers Kye Hewitt and Chris Childs, and sister Siara Matthiessen.
