Rempe Honored For 50 Years of Volunteer Service

Fifty years is a long time for someone to serve as a volunteer EMT for the Oconto Rescue Squad, but Jan Rempe has done just that. Jan, her husband Jim, and several others in attendance at a retirement celebration for Jan, were in the first class to get EMT certified back in the 1970s. Jan has kept her certification up to date ever since by taking annual training to keep up her hours.
Past and present Oconto EMTs who have served with Jan Rempe joined in celebrating her retirement.

I don’t think young people today can truly appreciate the power of the Internet. By young people I mean anyone 50 or younger! Sure, they can surf the Internet and locate all kinds of stuff as well as download apps that only confuse us older folks, but truly appreciate that…I don’t think so.
