Church Hosts Spaghetti Feed

Everyone is invited to Callaway Lutheran Church’s Annual Spaghetti Feed, to be held this year on Sunday, March 16. The feed will be held at the Callaway Community Center and will run from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. The feed will include spaghetti, salad and ice cream. A free will donation is requested. Ribbon Cutting For New Ownership

Though Norder Supply, Inc. purchased Progressive Fertilizer over a year ago, it has been slowly transitioning the business in Callaway to the new brand while maintaining the same level of service. Last week Norder hosted an open house at their Callaway location which included a ribbon cutting by the Callaway Chamber of Commerce.

Capitol Conversations: From Pasture to Policy

This week at the Capitol has been a busy one, with significant discussions taking place in both committees I am on, Transportation & Telecommunications and the Judiciary Committee. Some of the more significant bills heard in T & T revolved around ATVs/UTVs and the ability to register them for highway use outside a village or corporate limits, as well as a bill to allow them to be operated after sunset and before sunrise specifically for the use of snow removal.

Valentines For Veterans The Callaway American Legion Auxiliary is asking the community to write Valentine cards for Veterans residing in the Central Nebraska Veterans Home in Kearney. A collection box has been placed in the Nigel Sprouse Memorial Library.
