Callaway High School sophomore Miranda Tucker says that despite her young age she has known for a long time that she wants to pursue a career in the medical field. That passion and drive has now led to a tremendous opportunity for the teen.

The Nebraska Corn Board will hold its next meeting on Thursday, January 23, 2025, at the Nebraska Cattlemen office (4611 Cattle Drive) in Lincoln, Nebraska. The meeting is open to the public, providing the opportunity for public comment.

As we ring in a new year, we at the Courier wanted to take a moment to remind you of some of the stories that made our headlines in 2024. It was a big year in Callaway with lots of exciting things happening. This week we reflected back on the first half of 2024, and we conclude our look back in next week’s edition.

Sending greeting cards at Christmas time is a tradition for many people, and the Callaway Courier hosted a contest that put a twist on that custom. We asked students in Mrs. Nicole Rush’s fourth-grade class to pick a local business, and then draw a Christmas greeting card depicting that business.
