Speech Team Brings Home Two Medals From MNAC

The Callaway speech team traveled to Mullen on Saturday, Feb. 25, to compete in the MNAC Speech Meet. The team brought home two medals from the conference meet. Chenney Dishman earned the 2nd place silver medal in Humorous; and Nadeema Haidle and Chenney Dishman earned a 4th place medal in duet acting. It was a great day of competition and the coaches and community are so proud of all of our competitors.

American Legion Birthday Party

Members of Callaway American Legion, the Sons of American Legion and Legion Auxiliary and all their family members are invited to attend a Legion Birthday Party on March 19 at 2 p.m. Cake and drinks will be provided.

Public Forum Discussing Preschool Expansion Tonight

The public is invited to an open forum regarding the potential pre-school expansion at Callaway Public School on Thursday, March 2, at 8 p.m. in the CPS library. Attendees will have the opportunity to make comments and ask questions regarding the potential expansion. The forum is being hosted by the CPS administration and members of the school board.

Annual Spaghetti Supper Fundraiser

The Callaway Lutheran Church will hold their annual Spaghetti Supper on Wednesday, March 15, at the Callaway Community Center. The supper will include spaghetti, salad and ice cream. Callaway FCCLA Invites Everyone To Readathon

Callaway students Jazlynn Bechtold and Jaxon Guthrie are hosting an FCCLA event at the Callaway Public Library designed to allow children and parents to read to one another. It will be held every Tuesday in the month of March from 6-7 p.m. to celebrate Read Across America week.

Ryno Road Advocates Address Board of Supervisors

The Custer County Board of Supervisors held their regular meeting on Feb. 14, highlighted by a public hearing regarding the one-and six-year plans for county roads. The plan involves bridges, asphalt development, and drainage and culvert improvements.
