If you have not yet submitted a nomination for Callaway Citizen of the Year for 2023, you still have just a little bit of time. Nominations are due Friday, Feb.

Mark Brohman has joined the Chadron State College (CSC) Foundation Board of Directors. He is the son of Judy and the late Harold H. Brohman of Callaway. He has been a Trustee for CSC for over a dozen years. John Smith of Broken Bow is the current Chair of the Board.

The students at Callaway Public Schools may not all be old enough to donate blood, but they are discovering that blood donors are life saving heroes. As part of the American Red Cross Future Blood Donor program, students are learning about the importance of blood donation and are encouraging community members to give blood on Friday, Feb. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the school.

The Central Nebraska Economic Development District (CNEDD) is participating in the State Digital Equity Planning Grant Program. This program is one of three new broadband programs established by the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act to promote digital inclusion and equity.
