My family has always loved to do puzzles. Typically a table or large board is set up during the holidays for everyone to join in. As a child, it could only hold my attention for short periods but I loved the thrill of finding a piece that belonged. That small sense of accomplishment would reinvigorate my attention and motivate me to keep looking for another.

CPS Hosts Blood Drive This Friday

As part of the American Red Cross Future Blood Donor program, students at Callaway Public Schools are learning about the importance of blood donation and are encouraging community members to give blood on Friday, Feb. 24 from 11:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the school.

Hard to say how many trees are growing within the Lower Loup NRD, the largest Natural Resources District in Nebraska. What we do know is that since the founding of Natural Resources Districts in Nebraska in 1972, the Lower Loup NRD has planted more than 12 million trees.

Two 4-H Clubs Merge And Elect New Officers

The Tail Twisters held their first meeting of 2023 on Sunday Jan. 29. This year the Tail Twisters joined together with the Western Riders. The Meeting was called to order at 7:03 p.m. at the Senior Center in Callaway. Maggie Birkel read the Tail Twisters’ treasurer's report and Eli Rogers read the Western Riders treasurer’s report.

On Jan. 25, Taylor Ross, Abby Stallbaumer, Matthew Mannon, Joceylyn and Addison Bailey, and Delaynie Laible competed on the very first Callaway Parliamentary Procedure Team and placed 4th. As a result the team is an alternate to the Nebraska State FFA Convention.
