It was a disappointing night for the South Loup Bobcats last Friday, as they hosted the Ravenna Bluejays at home. Ravenna came to the field with a 7-0 record, and served up a shut-out in the first half of the game.

Ending the week with a win was positive for the Lady Bobcats, but the road there was rough. South Loup fought through five straight losses before they triumphed over the Gibbon Buffaloes to close out their most recent campaign.

The South Loup Bobcat cross country team raced in familiar territory last Tuesday, Oct. 7, racing at Arnold in the Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference Cross Country Meet.

Coming off a 28-0 shutout against West Holt, the South Loup Bobcats suffered a loss last Thursday against the Pleasanton Bulldogs, bringing their record to 2-4. The Bobcats fought through all four quarters, but ended up short in the game, with a final score of 58-36, Bulldogs.

After a challenging set of losses the previous week, the Lady Bobcats faced another tough match, dropping their contest against Ansley-Litchfield 3-0 on Sept. 30. However, they were able to rebound and win back-to-back matches at their home triangular on Oct.

The South Loup football team picked up a much-needed victory on Friday, Sept. 26, to make it two in a row in the win column.

It was a busy, and disappointing week for the Lady Bobcats volleyball team as they competed in a triangular in Merna on Tuesday, Sept. 23, and a tournament in Sutherland on Saturday, Sept. 27. Despite a great effort, unfortunately, South Loup was not able to quite get a win.

After not running competitively since Sept. 18, several members of the South Loup cross country team were invited to participate in the UNK High School Invitational on Monday, Sept.
