School Record, PR, and Silver Medal for Furne

The South Loup track team was well represented at the Class C Nebraska High School Track & Field Championships in Omaha on May 23-24, as four boys and five girls qualified for the competition. One of those athletes ended his high school career with his best performance ever.

Two New School Records, Nine Heading to Omaha

The South Loup boys’ and girls’ track teams capped off an incredible season by crowning three district champions, two district runners-up, and setting two new school records at the C-8 District meet hosted by Kearney Catholic last Thursday.

Three of Four Bobcats Finish in Top 10 at Mullen

The South Loup boys’ golf team wrapped up their regular season on Wednesday, May 14, which was also the last day of school for the year. The team traveled to Mullen to compete in a seven-team tournament, with the host school winning the meet with 333.

Final Week of Golf Season, Bobcats Prepare For Districts

The South Loup boys' golf team traveled to Thedford on Wednesday, May 7, to compete in the Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference (MNAC) golf meet. Two of the Bobcats earned conference medals, with Harper Johnson finishing 4th overall with an 85, and Bo Brennan was 7th with a 95. No other results from that meet were available.

Bobcats Bring Home Conference Champion and Runner-Up

The South Loup men’s and women’s track teams competed in the Mid-Nebraska Activities Conference (MNAC) meet on Friday, May 2, held in Arnold. The Bobcats had a great day, with the men’s team finishing as conference champions and the Lady Bobcats coming home with the conference runner-up plaque.

The South Loup Bobcats had a light week of track and field last week, with only one meet on the schedule. The teams traveled to Overton for an invitational on Tuesday, April 22.

Bobcat Golfers Pick Up More Hardware

The South Loup boys’ golf team made the trip to Thedford on Monday, April 28, to compete in the Sandhills/Thedford tournament. Mullen had the low team score of the day of 355, to win the meet. The individual low score of the day was a 76, shot by Brady Haake of Sandhills/Thedford.
