Lady Bocats Put up Hard Fight Against Bulls & Bulldogs
The young Lady Bobcats volleyball team is still looking for their first win of the 2025 season, having lost on their home court to Hi-Line on Friday, Sept. 5.
South Loup fought hard in the first set and managed to stay within striking distance through most of the set, eventually losing it 19-25. However, it was all Hi-Line in set two as they easily took the win 25-11.
The Bobcats showed their resilience and determination, as they could have easily given up down 2 sets to none - but they did not. They rallied back in a thrilling third set to beat Hi-Line 25-23 and force a fourth.
South Loup played well in set four, but they were not quite able to overcome the Bulls, as they lost 18-25.
The Bobcats were back home on Monday, Sept. 8, and hosted Ainsworth in Arnold. Once again South Loup struggled early as Ainsworth was able to get the lead and hold it to win the first set 25-13.
However, the Bobcats bounced back in set two, coming from behind to win the set 25-20 and even the game at one apiece. Set three was another hard-fought battle with Ainsworth coming out on top 25-19.
The Bulldogs carried the third set momentum into the fourth as they won 25-16 to take the match.
No stats were available for either game.
The Lady Bobcats are back on the court this evening, Sept. 11, at Gothenburg. The reserve match is set for 5 p.m., with JV at 6 p.m. and varsity at 7 p.m. They will host the Seven Valleys Tournament this Saturday, Sept. 13, with play beginning at 9:30 a.m.
