Several Callaway merchants are joining together to be sure the first baby born in the Callaway Hospital has a good start in life. Almost $180 worth of gifts for the family as well as the baby will be awarded.

A total of 372 Doane University students made the university's Fall 2025 Dean's List. To make the Dean's List, undergraduate students enrolled on the university's Crete campus must earn a grade point average of 3.70 or higher in at least 12 graded credits during the semester. Earning a spot on the Dean’s List is Addison Bailey, a sophomore from Callaway.
