Town Hall Pool Information Meeting

The Callaway Pool Committee will host an informational Town Hall meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 27 at 7 p.m. at the Callaway Community Center. This meeting is an opportunity for the public to ask questions and gain information about a proposed swimming pool bond that will appear on the Callaway election ballot in November. Please plan to attend and bring your questions and concerns - be informed before going to the poll.

Callaway Hosts 94th Annual Legion Convention

The 94th Annual Custer County Legion Convention was held on Sept. 11. Bryson Booker Post 59 Legion, Legion Auxiliary and SAL hosted this event. The joint meeting in the morning was held at the Callaway Community Center followed by a meal provided by the Legion Auxiliary. The afternoon meeting of the Auxiliary was held at the Community Center and the Legion and SAL meeting was held at the Post 59 Legion Hall.

A hilly and more technical Ravenna course couldn’t stop the South Loup Bobcat cross country team from bringing home more medals Saturday to add to an already impressive season. Ella Cool placed 5th for the girls with a time of 23:10.4 and Ivy Tullis placed 13th with a time of 25:39.6.
