Game & Parks Asking For Public’s Help

Body The Nebraska Game and Parks Commission is asking the public to be on the lookout for unexplained death or illness of deer, pronghorn, elk, and bighorn sheep. Due to conditions in certain areas of the state, deadly diseases may spread easier among big game populations.

Tail Twisters/Western Riders Custer County Fair Results

Body Custer County 4-H and FFA kids saw all their hard work pay off as they displayed their exhibits and showed livestock at the Custer County Far. Last week we featured the first half of the results of the Callaway and Arnold Tail Twisters and Western Riders club results.

Small Square Bale - Nostalgia Or Necessity?

Body With third cutting alfalfa right around the corner, Erin much to my chagrin, suggested that we make some small square bales. While it is true I don’t particularly care for them, they are nice to have around.

Precious Angel Opens New Location in Callaway

Body Last week the Callaway Chamber of Commerce and community members officially welcomed a new daycare to town. The Chamber hosted a ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Aug. 9, for Precious Angel Daycare, operating in the same location as the former Homegrown Kids.

Callaway/Arnold Well Represented At Custer County Fair

Body Custer County 4-H and FFA kids saw all their hard work pay off as they displayed their exhibits and showed livestock at the Custer County FaIr. Due to the large number of entries from the Callaway/Arnold 4-Hers, results will be published over the next two weeks.
