Summer lunch is in full swing for the kids of the Callaway community. Summer can be hard for families that rely on school lunches for their students. School systems have taken the initiative to help solve this problem by offering summer lunch programs.

The annual Whipple Reunion will be held on Sunday, June 25, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The winner of each month will receive $25 in Chamber bucks.

The Callaway Chamber of Commerce is in need of new supplies for the newcomer bags that the Village of Callaway hands out to new residents. Please drop off your supplies at First Interstate Bank if you have some marketing materials you would like to include in the newcomer bags.

Mark your calendars for Saturday, July 15, for the Coed Mushball Tournament sponsored by the Callaway Community Foundation Fund. The tournament is being held to help raise funds for the new swimming pool.

Long-time pet owners will understand that after losing our beloved Mollie dog last August after almost 14 years, getting a new dog right away wasn’t in the cards. We waited all winter, which proved providential with all the snow and cold we experienced.

The 2023 Callaway Pioneer Picnic is only a week away, and many exciting things are happening this year! Of course, the Seven Valleys Rodeo and street dance - staples of the weekend - are still the main events. There will be treasure hunts, a climbing wall, bouncy houses, and carnival games in the park for the kids.

April’s Cooksley Complex Fire spanned two counties, 37,000 acres, and two days: April 13 and 14. Miraculously, no lives were lost, thanks in no small part to the 64 fire departments that worked tirelessly to contain and extinguish the blaze.
