Rise Up At Lake Helen This Weekend

This weekend, Dawson County will be welcoming thousands of visitors for one of Nebraska’s premiere summer events - Livin’ Out Loud. While the outdoor concert is held at Lake Helen in Gothenburg, the entire region benefits economically as hotels are filled within a 50-mile radius, and gas stations and restaurants will likely see an influx of people.

Despite Trials, Callaway Continues To Move Forward

As cleanup efforts from the July 29 storm continued in Callaway last week, the Callaway Village Board remains focused on the tasks at hand and keeping the Village moving forward in a positive direction. The board has taken action to approve the revival of the community’s go-kart track and site the primary reason as the safety of young drivers in the village.
It was all hands on deck as a large number of community volunteers pitched in to help clean up Callaway’s Morgan Park on Aug. 10. CPS Welcomes Staff And Students For New Year

Callaway Public Schools will host a Tropical Paradise back-to-school night on Wednesday, Aug. 16, from 5:30 - 7 p.m. Orientation for incoming 7th graders will begin at 5 p.m., and students will be given an opportunity to meet their teachers.

New Daycare Set To Open Next Week

The first day of the 2023-24 school year at Callaway Public School is a week from today, Aug. 17, and parents who have benefited from summertime teen babysitters, are about to lose their help. Luckily 7 Valley Kids Daycare is ready to step in and fill the void.
