Raising Awareness Of a Startling Statistic

Senior Life Solutions at Callaway District Hospital hosted a Suicide Prevention and Awareness Walk on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at the Callaway Public Schools track. Along with providing suicide prevention support, education and awareness materials, SLS also served free hot dogs, chips, and bottled water.

4-H Council Meeting Scheduled

The Custer County 4-H Council will meet on Monday, Sept. 18, at 7:30 p.m. at the 4-H Building in Broken Bow. A meeting agenda will be posted at the Custer County Courthouse in Broken Bow. The business meeting is open to the public.

The Callaway Chamber is selling T-shirts to help raise money for the Callaway Swimming Pool. All proceeds from the T-shirt sales will go to the Swimming Pool as well as an additional $10 per shirt from the Chamber. T-shirt sizes and prices are as follows: Small-XLarge -$20; 2XL $22; 3XL $23. Available colors are Heather Navy Blue and Heather Gray.

Callaway TeamMates Kicks Off Year With Pancake Feed

The Callaway TeamMates chapter officially kicked off a new school year with a pancake breakfast on Wednesday, Sept. 13. The purpose of the breakfast, according to program coordinators Karen Weverka and Abe Hinman, was to welcome mentors and mentees for another year and to encourage others to become involved.
