Body Even Mother Nature couldn’t stop the Lady Bobcats basketball team (5-4) from extending their winning streak this week with wins at home over Sandhills/ Thedford on Thursday and Bertrand on Saturday.

Body Even with the snow causing a postponement of a meet, the Bobcat wrestlers had a full week on the mat with a triangular at Tryon on Thursday and the Amherst Invite on Saturday.

Body The South Loup Cheerleaders have been working with their younger counterparts, the ‘Bobkittens’, learning some routines. The girls had an opportunity to showcase their new skills during halftime of the South Loup varsity boys basketball game last Friday night.

Body The Lady Bobcats got a much-needed boost this past week, bringing home the championship trophy from the Gilson-Pierce Memorial Tournament in Maxwell. The Lady Bobcats are now 3-4 this season. This was the fourth consecutive year the Lady Bobcats have won the tournament.

Body After battling a week of illness and bad weather, the South Loup boys varsity basketball team (4-1) crushed the Medicine Valley Raiders on Friday, Dec. 16, in Curtis.

Body The South Loup girls basketball team (1-4) lost a close game against Medicine Valley on the road Friday, losing by a mere 5 points.

Body The South Loup wrestlers headed north to Burwell this past weekend for a dual tournament against Hitchcock County, SEM, Hi-Line, and Burwell. The young Bobcat team brought home fourth place honors.

Body The Bobcat wrestlers traveled east this past weekend - to Sargent for the Twin Loup Invite on Friday, and to Merna for the Anselmo-Merna Coyote Invite on Saturday - and brought home a handful of hardware.

Body The South Loup Lady Bobcats had back-to-back road games this past weekend, traveling to Cambridge on Friday and Pleasanton on Saturday. Friday’s game was a thriller, and after three overtimes Cambridge came out with the victory, 54-62.

Body The South Loup Bobcat basketball teams opened their seasons on Friday at home against conference rivals Twin Loup. The girls won by a score of 53-40, and the boys ran away with their win by a score of 62-30.
