Anna Mae Cool

Body
age 94 of Broken Bow, died June 16, 2023, at the Brookestone View in Broken Bow. On March 3, 1929, a special gift was given to Glenn and Opal Mae (Huffman) Cool. She was named Anna Mae. Weighing only 4 pounds at birth, she was not expected to live through the night. But God had other things in mind for her. She lived on the farm with her family and learned to milk cows and do other farm and household chores. Anna Mae remained living with her parents until she was 40 years of age, then entered Bethphage Mission at Axtell. Here she learned to be more independent and also was given some training which she used when she left Axtell and moved to Holdrege. Anna Mae learned at the workshop how to weave rugs that were sold in that shop. She received a paycheck for her work, which she thought was a great new thing for her.
