Body
LINCOLN – As floor debate approaches for the controversial LB 646, a bill proposing to exempt feedlots under the Nebraska Livestock Brand Act at the expense of cow calf producers, Senator Storer introduces AM 810 to LB 646. Citing the lack of sufficient input from the cow-calf industry and the Brand Committee, Senator Storer’s compromise highlights the importance of livestock inspection in protecting Nebraska's leading cash commodity, the cattle industry.
