Celebrate Callaway Chamber Event

The Callaway Chamber of Commerce is hosting their “Celebrate Callaway” event on Sunday, Feb. 26, beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the Callaway Community Center. Chamber members are asked to bring a main dish and salad or dessert. The Chamber will provide a main dish along with the potluck options. The whole community is invited to join in!

District Examines Ways to Help Alleviate Childcare Crisis

Daycare is an issue that impacts the entire community. When parents cannot find quality child care, they are unable to work to provide the goods and services needed for that community. Whether it is the nursing home, hospital, restaurant or school - employees need child care options.

School Board Addresses Vape Usage in School

The Callaway Board of Education held a lengthy discussion during their Jan. 10 meeting on the use of vaping devices by students, and what steps as a district can be taken to curb that usage on campus.

Citizens Step Up In The Wake Of ‘Snowmageddon’

Custer County, and Callaway in particular, made the news last week; however, it wasn’t in a way many would have wanted to see. As a huge winter storm - affectionately referred to as Snowmageddon - made its way through Nebraska, it dumped snow on this region by the buckets full.
