Letter To The Editor

Dear Editor, I am writing to thank Callaway-area residents for sharing the true meaning of Christmas with children in need this past holiday season. Generosity throughout contributed to a successful shoebox gift collection season at drop-off locations for the Samaritan’s Purse project Operation Christmas Child.

Dear Editor: I would like to express my appreciation for the hard work and commitment that the city crew put into removing the snow here in Callaway. I know they put in long hard hours to get the job done. I think we all take you guys for granted, but I know that takes a lot of work. Thank You again for all you do. Also thanks to the Kimball Farms crew for helping them out.

This is often repeated by political leaders, news reporters and pundits. It is also taught at all levels of education. Worse, hardly any of the dispensers of this falsehood know they have been misled and are misinforming their audiences.

What if you were playing in the club championship tournament finals and the match was halved at the end of 17 holes? Your opponent then hits his ball, lofting it deep into the woods to the right of the fairway.

Whirlwinds: A Noteworthy Christmas

Body
Every other year our immediate family Christmas is celebrated on a date other than Christmas Eve or Christmas. With both daughters now married we adopted this every other year philosophy so they can join their husband’s families on the main holiday, something we are thankful the other families also appreciate and share.
