Editor’s Note: Each CHS senior was required to do a career presentation, in which they share their future plans and life goals, for the Senior College Prep class. The seniors then gave the presentation to the entire student body. For the past 12 weeks we have shared those presentations with you, and conclude this week with our final senior.

Those who didn’t know better may have thought they were seeing double at this year’s Callaway High School graduation ceremony on Sunday. And in a sense, they were.

Chase and Chad Dishman are identical twins, and it can be very hard to tell them apart. “I am the handsome twin,” said Chase jokingly. Next fall they will share that fun enigma with the students and staff on the campus of Central Community College in Hastings.

He also has siblings Chance, a sophomore, and Chenney, a freshman. Unlike his twin, Chase plans to attend the college for only one year to obtain his certificate. He will be majoring in cyber security.

“I choose cyber security because the tech world is booming,” he explained.

Chase has a tremendous sense of humor, which he was able to showcase in speech this year. His humor was even evident in his explanation of why he chose CCC.

“I don’t know if it is far away or if it’s close, because I don’t know how to read a map. And it was the only college that took me in,” Chase said, maintaining a serious face while everyone else chuckled.

On a more serious note, Chase explained further. “The college is small, but not too small, and they sort of had the program I wanted. It also has a transfer program.”

While at CCC, Chase plans to become involved in various activities on campus. “No, I won’t be a basketball player. I will be a waterboy, because girls love the waterboys and their ripped muscles,” said Chase. “I also plan on doing clubs, or creating one called ‘The Chase Club’ but anyone that joins has to not be as good looking as me.”

Chase hopes to establish a career as a cyber security engineer or analyst. He explained that the options with that career, as well as the salary potential, is dependent upon the degree received and the state in which you live and work.

Though he is a very laid back guy, Chase did admit he is a little nervous about being on his own and missing his family, as well as having a roommate he gets along with. He said he is uncertain about where he will be 10 years from now. “I just like to keep things at ease.”
