Lady Bobcats End Season at Subdistrict Rumble

Volleyball season is officially over for the South Loup Bobcats as they finished their subdistrict challenges last Monday, Oct. 27 with a 3-0 loss to the Brady Eagles in first round action as previously reported. The first two sets found the Eagles leading start to finish, putting away the Bobcats 25-22 and 25-8. In the third set, South Loup battled hard, running the tally into bonus scoring before dropping the set 24-26 in favor of Brady.

Bobcat Cross Country Fleet-Footed at State

It was a cool, overcast day last Friday, Oct. 24 as the men’s Bobcat Cross Country team hit the course at the Class D NSAA State Championships, but that didn’t keep them from putting a bright finish on their successful season.

Lady Bobcats' Regular Season Ends High

The Lady Bobcats bounced back last week from a disappointing MNAC tournament with a two-match sweep on Tuesday, Oct. 21. The squad traveled to Stapleton to face Arthur County and Sandhills Valley in a triangular, coming out the victor in their final regular season contests.

Bobcats' Season Ends at Loup City

Despite their best efforts, the Bobcats just could not get any traction against the 6-1 team in last Thursday’s matchup on the road. The Bobcats found the endzone twice, but the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels outscored them two-to-one, winning the Oct. 16 game on their home turf 32-14.

Lady Bobcats Battle Through MNAC Tourney

Starting on Thursday, Oct. 16, the Lady Bobcats worked through a tough MNAC tournament lineup, coming away at the end of the week with two losses and one win. All matches were played in neutral territory, hosted by Brady.

Bobcats Fall Short Against Undefeated Bluejays

It was a disappointing night for the South Loup Bobcats last Friday, as they hosted the Ravenna Bluejays at home. Ravenna came to the field with a 7-0 record, and served up a shut-out in the first half of the game.

Lady Bobcats Battle Through a Tough Week

Ending the week with a win was positive for the Lady Bobcats, but the road there was rough. South Loup fought through five straight losses before they triumphed over the Gibbon Buffaloes to close out their most recent campaign.
