South Loup Golfers Are Conference Runner-Up

The South Loup varsity golf team hit the links in Thedford on Thursday, April 30, for the Mid Nebraska Athletic Conference (MNAC) golf tournament. Also participating in the meet were Mullen, Anselmo-Merna, Sandhills Valley, and Sandhills/Thedford.

Bobcats Win Men's and Women's Team Titles in Overton

South Loup was one of seven teams to compete in the Overton High School track meet on Tuesday, April 21, and what a great day it was to be a Bobcat! Both the men’s and women’s teams won the meet. The South Loup men finished the day with 152 team points to easily place first in the team standings.

Bobcats Earn Two Medals, Finish Runner-Up at Thedford

South Loup was one of nine schools represented at the invitational golf meet in Thedford on Thursday, April 22. North Platte St. Pat’s shot the low score as a team, finishing the day with 342. South Loup finished as runner-up, though they tallied the same score as Mullen with 362.

Bobcat Tracksters Find Success at Burwell

The South Loup Bobcat men’s and women’s track teams headed east last week to take on the Burwell Invitational on Friday, April 18. The Bobcats found plenty of success in the field and on the track despite cooler temperatures and gusty winds.

Bobcat Golfers Win Anselmo/Merna Quad

The South Loup golf team competed in two meets last week, as they traveled the short distance to Broken Bow for the Anselmo/Merna quad on Tuesday, and to Hershey on Thursday. The team had a good showing at both meets and came home on April 14 with the team championship from the quad.

Girls Are Champs, Boys Runners-Up, at Home Invite

The South Loup men’s and women’s track teams hosted a home invitational on Friday, April 10, and put on a tremendous show in front of the home crowd. The women easily walked away with the team championship, while the men finished as invite runners-up.

Two Bobcats Finish in Top 10 at Home Invite

The Bobcats hosted the South Loup Invitational golf meet on Friday, April 10, finishing in fourth place overall in the team standings at the end of the day. The Sutherland squad came in with the low team score of 347 to take the top spot, followed by Mullen in second, and the Lexington JV team in third.

Bobcats Set the Pace at Hi-Line Meet

The Bobcats traveled to Elwood last Thursday, April 2, and came home with some hardware for their efforts. Both the boys and girls track team competed in a field of 13 teams, each coming home with 4th place overall.

Bobcats Open Golf Season Against Strong Competition

The South Loup men’s golf team opened the 2026 season on Thursday, April 2, at Amherst. Both varsity and JV teams competed in the 11-team invitational, with the Bobcats finishing in 7th place overall in the team standings at the end of the day.
