Ernest W. Boyer, Ph.D., a distinguished biochemist and beloved family man, passed away on Oct. 26, 2024, at the age of 87. Born on March 18, 1937, in Oconto, he was the son of Ernest Henry Boyer and Mable Marie (Peters) Boyer. Throughout his life, Ernie exemplified a commitment to scientific excellence, innovation, and community service.

of Ansley passed away peacefully at CHI hospital in Kearney on Oct. 29, 2024. James “Jim” Wayne Hoblyn was born Oct. 31, 1948, in Broken Bow to Harry Ray and Delpha Delores (Madsen) Hoblyn, also known as the Halloween baby. He attended Harris Country School through 8th grade. After that, he went to high school in Ansley. Upon graduation, he attended computer school in Denver, Colorado and Kearney State College. After college, Jim returned to Ansley to farm and raise cattle.

Virginia C. Gardner, 82 of Callaway, passed away Friday, Oct. 11, 2024, in her birthplace community of Callaway.

Ronald L. Jorgenson, 86 of Callaway, passed away on Monday, Oct. 7, 2024, at the Callaway Good Life Center with his wife by his side. Ron was born on Jan. 28, 1938, in Gothenburg, to Leland H. and Martha A. (Fichenscher) Jorgenson.

age 83, of Arnold Nebraska, peacefully passed away September 10th, 2024, at his home surrounded by family. Maurice was born on Jan. 18, 1941, to Verl and Esther (Kelly) Andre in Arnold. He attended school at Arnold and graduated with the class of 1960.
