Scholarship Program Deadline Approaching

The Nebraska Department of Transportation (NDOT) announced the Good Life, Great Journey Scholarship Program, a new scholarship for individuals pursuing two-year technical degrees in critical fields. The Good Life, Great Journey Scholarship Program allows NDOT to invest in future generations of Nebraskans by providing competitive and practical options for long-term career success that also supports the state’s transportation system.

Oconto Legion Selects Boys' State Representative

The Oconto American Legion Post 250 announces Harper Johnson, a junior at Callaway High School as their representative to the American Legion Cornhusker Boys' State Program June 2-8, 2024, at the University of Nebraska- Lincoln downtown campus. He will join nearly 270 other high school juniors in the annual citizenship training program.

Kindergarten Roundup

Callaway Public School will host its Kindergarten Roundup on Thursday, April 18. The preschool roundup will be held from 5:30-6:30 p.m. while the kindergarten roundup will be at 6 p.m. Come let your preschool student explore the classroom while they get registered. Students must be 3-years-old by July 31st to register.

The cold temperatures did little to dampen the excitement of the kiddos, as a large crowd of candy seekers converged on Morgan Park on Saturday, March 30, for the annual Easter Egg Hunt. The event is hosted by the Callaway EMTs with assistance from the Callaway Chamber of Commerce.

In recognition of these citizens, the Callaway Chamber of Commerce is opening up nominations for the 2024 Citizen/Organization of the Year. Old-Time Radio Show Returns To Callaway

The students and staff of Callaway Christian Academy will once again be hosting a unique learning and fundraising opportunity, with the return of the Old Time Radio Show on Friday, April 12.
