Young Lady Bobcats in Training For Roundball

Twenty-four 3rd-6th grade girls from Arnold and Callaway practiced learning the fundamentals of basketball from early December to mid-February. They had practices once a week along with having some fun!

Expanded Preschool Program Is No-Go Next Fall

After discussions at both the January and February board meetings, and an open community forum on the issue, the Callaway School Board has elected to not move forward with plans to extend the existing preschool to a full-day program.

Deadlines And Dates Set At Joint 4-H Meeting

The Tail Twisters and Western Riders 4-H clubs held a joint meeting on Sunday, Feb. 26, 2023. The Meeting was called to order by Delaney Rogers at 7:00 p.m. at the Methodist church in Arnold. Sue Stratton gave a demonstration on how to make homemade bread. Delanie Weinman read the Secretary Report from January’s meeting. Eli Rogers made the motion to approve the minutes and Jocelyn Bailey seconded the motion. Motion carried. Maggie Birkel read the Tail Twisters’ treasurer's report and Riata Remund read the Western Riders treasurer’s report.

Area Students Achieve College Honors

Northeast Community College in Norfolk has released the President’s Honor List and Deans’ Honor List for both full and part-time students for the Fall 2022 semester. To be named to the President’s Honor List, students must earn a grade point average of 4.0 and be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours.
