I have had so many people tell me that I will love being a grandma. The most common comments are that “it’s the best” and “you get to have all the fun of spoiling them and then sending them home.” The message is loud and clear that being a grandma, or as I prefer to be called, Gigi, is going to be the best role of my life.

Justin and Jincy Ross of Callaway are thrilled to announce the arrival of their daughter, Stella Mae, born on March 1, 2023, at 6:38 p.m. at Great Plains Health in North Platte. She was 8 pounds 2.2 ounces and 21.25 inches long.

FCCLA Pizza Kit Fundraiser Now Underway

Callaway FCCLA members will be selling Little Caesars pizza kits from now through March 27. Payment of the pizza kits is due at the time of the order. The students and staff of Callaway Christian Academy have come up with a unique learning and fundraising opportunity. Steve Sommer, director of the Academy, developed a love for old time radio shows as a child, and wanted to share some of that history and nostalgia with the students at the Academy.

Great Food, Good Friends, Countywide Lenten Event

Each Friday during Lent, the Knights of Columbus groups from across Custer County invite everyone to join them for their weekly Fish Fry. Last week’s fry, on March 10, was held in Callaway at the Community Center, and as always there was a large turnout.
A large crowd from all across Custer County gathered to enjoy a fish supper at the Callaway Community Center on March 10.
