Ninth Annual Callaway Kids Fall Carnival

Body The ninth annual Callaway Fall Kids Carnival is scheduled this year for Saturday, Nov. 5 from 3 – 5 p.m. at the Callaway Community Center. The Carnival will have games, activities, prizes and other surprises for children from preschool age to sixth grade.

Body It has been just over a week since another massive wildfire hit Nebraska. This time it was in our beloved Sandhills and swept through our National Forest destroying the Nebraska State 4-H Camp and on through 19,000 acres of Sandhills grazing lands.

Historical Society Receives Help For Storm Damage

Body The Callaway Chamber of Commerce donated $540 to the Seven Valleys Historical Society, Inc. to help with the cost of their repairs from the hail storm. Of the $540 donation, $300 was from the Chamber from an anonymous donation that was received to help with storm repairs.

Pickleball Clinic Held in Callaway

Body The first Callaway pickleball clinic was held Oct. 4 from 6 - 8 p.m. with USA pickleball Ambassador and North Platte pickleball member Barb Baldridge leading. Three additional North Platte pickleball members assisted in instructing and demonstrating pickleball skills and rules.

A Trip to the ‘Bumpkin’ Patch

Body Elementary students at Callaway Public School traveled to the Bumpkin Patch at Estes Farm in Anselmo last week. According to their teachers, they all had the best time!
