South Loup Girls Amongst Best in the Midwest

The Lady Bobcats took 12 girls to the Best in the Midwest track meet in Sutherland on May 3 and were led by Abby Stallbaumer who won the gold medal in the discus and Tallianna Martin who took silver in the 1600 meters.

Earning a medal in the meet was the 4x100 meter relay of Joslyn Reiff, Bryn Schwarz, Taylor Ross and Halie Recoy with a bronze medal finish.

The 4x400 relay of Ivy Tullis, Abby Stallbaumer, Ross and Schwarz broke the school record in placing third.

Those that participated in the meet but failed to medal were Haile Recoy with a fifth place finish in the 200 meters, Heidi Donegan who took seventh in the 800 meters, Ella Cool in fourth place in the 3200 meters, Isabelle Stallbaumer in eighth in the shot put and Reagan Cool who was fourth in the pole vault.
