South Loup's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday, Jan. 16, after their fourth straight loss. They had to suffer through a rough 56-29 loss at the hands of Arcadia/Loup City. South Loup was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-12.

Despite the loss, the Lady Bobcats still got an impressive performance from Bryn Schwarz, who scored 17 points along with 8 rebounds and 2 steals. Carleigh Liable added 4 points, Josie Reiff and Aubrie Birkel each contributed 4 rebounds in the game, and freshman Addi Stump had 2 rebounds and 2 steals.

South Loup has struggled recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games. The girls were to be on the road again on Thursday, Jan. 18, against Ansley/ Litchfield who was on a three-game streak of home losses. The Lady Bobcats had a six-game streak of away losses, but someone's luck was about to change in this matchup. However, the game was postponed due to blowing snow and poor travel conditions.

Next up is the MNAC tournament, which began on Tuesday. The Lady Bobcats traveled to Brady to face the Lady Eagles in the first round of the tournament; however, results of that game were not available at press time.
