The South Loup Bobcats had a light week of track and field last week, with only one meet on the schedule. The teams traveled to Overton for an invitational on Tuesday, April 22.

“The Overton Track meet was a great meet for our athletes! They took advantage of the beautiful weather and turned in some great performances,” said Head Coach Andy Schwarz.

The boys' and girls' teams both took home the runners-up trophy from the invitational. “Relays were again strong for us, winning both the 4x100 and 4x400 relay,” said Coach Schwarz. “Elijah Cool showed his versatility in running and winning the 1600m run in his first attempt. With conference being a week away, I like where we are at…happy and healthy!”

 The teams will be back in competition on Friday, May 2, when Arnold hosts the MNAC meet. Events are set to begin at 10 a.m.
