Despite their best efforts, the Bobcats just could not get any traction against the 6-1 team in last Thursday’s matchup on the road. The Bobcats found the endzone twice, but the Arcadia/Loup City Rebels outscored them two-to-one, winning the Oct. 16 game on their home turf 32-14.

The Rebel squad was formidable on offense, racking up 227 yards on the ground and 49 yards through the air. Four Rebel seniors split the yardage between them, causing trouble for the Bobcat defense. They also made the most of any mistakes on South Loup’s side, causing 1 and recovering 2 Bobcat fumbles.

South Loup’s Conner Paulsen led the charge on the Bobcat offense, running for 120 yards and accounting for both of the team’s touchdowns. Unfortunately, Paulsen was also responsible for one of the team’s fumbles, recovered by the Rebel defense. Dylan Pandorf completed 2/3 pass attempts for a total of 11 yards and also chipped in 31 yards rushing. Pandorf was sacked once by Arcadia’s Wyatt Stieb. Elijah Cool ran in a 2pt conversion and clocked 15 yards on a kickoff return.

Senior Paxton Bierman was back in action this week, contributing 5 solo tackles and 8 assists, while causing 1 fumble. Pandorf followed close behind with 2 solos and 9 assists, and sophomore Tysen Schacher put up 8 total tackles and recovered 1 fumble.

With the loss, South Loup drops down to 2-6 to end their 2025 season. Four Bobcat seniors topped the stat lines each week, pouring their best into the South Loup program.

Conner Paulsen ended his final season averaging 104.1 rushing yards per game, 9 total touchdowns, 11.4 tackles per game, and 2 interceptions.

Quarterback Dylan Pandorf contributed an average of 59.5 rushing yards and 15.5 passing yards per game while also putting in 8.9 total tackles per game. Pandorf also had 9 total touchdowns, 2 sacks, and 1 fumble recovery.

Crew Witthuhn rounded out the offensive leader lineup with 50.8 yards per game and 7 total touchdowns. Witthuhn posted 2 sacks, 2 interceptions, and averaged 7.8 tackles per game.

Paxton Bierman controlled the leaderboard defensively, with 108 total tackles on the year, for an average of 15.4 per game and chalked up 1 fumble recovery.
